Nabil Ranné

As a disciple of Chen Yu, Nabil Ranné teaches in the 12th generation of Chen Family Taijiquan. Nabil is a well-known instructor in Europe. He holds a doctorate in sports sciences. His publications include a book on the history and development of Chen-Style Taijiquan and various other articles on the subject. He acts as a supervising trainer of the Chen-Style Taijiquan Netzwerk (CTND).

Nabil learned Chen Yu's unique method in a small family setting while spending several years in intensive training under his teacher’s watchful eye and heavy hands. Chen Yu’s method of Taijiquan is extremely precise, compact and very powerful. Nabil teaches this rich martial movement art in his Berlin school. He offers classes in German, English and Chinese and holds many national and international workshops. His main interest is to preserve, research and pass on this extraordinary taijiquan lineage of Chen Fake, Chen Zhaokui, and Chen Yu. Nabil has a hands-on teaching style, allowing for deep individual training for each participant.

Daily vegetarian organic meals will be included with the training. Meals are cooked fresh with ingredients coming from our garden and local farms — farm-fresh eggs, local cheeses, veggies and fruit.

Location

Our training centre is located in Falkland, BC, in the north Okanagan and the heart of lake and wine country on 5 acres of cedar forest. We have a small above ground pool for cooling off in-between training, and forest paths to wander through the forest. We'll be training outdoors and in our newly constructed training space.

On-site accommodation

We have two beautiful guest villas with queen beds available to rent, along with 8 glamping campsites nestled in the forest setting, all within easy access of our newly-built detached bathroom and shower.
